Job Description: Truck Supervisor

Location               Greater Houston Area



The Truck Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing the trucking needs on the project. The Truck Supervisor reports directly to the Construction Manager.



  • Coordinate and receive the truck requirements from each project
  • Coordinate with trucking companies and/or brokers to organize the trucks for each project
  • Schedule and assign routes to maximize productivity
  • Responsible for handling On-road Trucks and Off-road trucks needed for Earthworks, Aggregates, Concrete, and any other needs
  • Prepare purchase orders for rental trucks; tracks each piece of rented equipment by job site and job number.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with mechanics; generates purchase orders for repairs or required maintenance.
  • Other responsibilities as necessary


Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to understand concepts related to buying and financing trucks, including conducting buy/sell analysis
  • Ability to understand logistics operations, including "heavy hauling" of equipment and the equipment itself
  • Ability to understand business operations and related contracts



  • High school diploma is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Construction
  • 5+ years of experience in Trucking and/or Equipment
  • Knowledge of equipment and financials is highly preferred
  • Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
  • High level of computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
