    The Director’s main mission is to grow, develop and maintain the company’s wind energy presence and involvement in the United States. In achieving these goals, the role will among other things pursue opportunities and project leads and collaborate with the wind energy team and engineering group to satisfy emerging opportunities within the USA market. The role will work in collaboration with all company functions including, but not limited to Corporate Wind Sales team, Service, Business, Engineering and Finance.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for company’s business growth strategy development and royalty leasing programs
    • Support the development, tracking and pursuance of project leads in USA
    • Communicate activities (included but not limited to project development phase reports, project improvement & progress reports, etc.) to executive management and business partners in written, verbal and presentation media
    • Conduct necessary research and studies for regional wind farm projects development and improvements
    • Obtain necessary state and municipal government approvals, for example development permits and environmental assessments
    • Perform commercial analyses and risk management analyses of wind energy developments
    • Formulate specifications for construction contracts and tender contracts
    • Overseeing and management of projects’ subcontractors
    • Coordinate environmental assessment reporting
    • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and business partners
      • Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in related field is necessary in engineering field (Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering preferred)
      • Required: Wind Resources Engineering, wind turbine, and/or grid system knowledge
      • Required: Based in Houston, Texas but has the ability and flexibility to travel to project sites located in West Texas and other locations as required for business needs for short and extended period (frequent travel)
      • At least 3-5 years professional & hands on experience in developing wind farm/power industry in US
      • Experience in construction management, particularly wind plant construction
      • Experience in managing project finances, wind farm developments - procedures, market policies and regulations and wind power reports
      • Strong verbal and written communications skills
      • Has strong analytical, interpersonal and management skills
      • The ability to work with limited supervision and cohesively with other team members/other departments. Be able to exercise sound judgment and discretion
      • Able to multi-task in a thriving environment and work under pressure with superb accuracy
      • Energetic, professional work ethic, responsible, self-motivated, organized, eager, details oriented and reliable
