Research Scientist - Computational and Biological Physics

TheDepartment of Physics at the University of Houston seeks to fill a ResearchScientist position in computational and biological physics. Candidateswith expertise in computational physics, statistical physics, bioinformatics, andtheoretical biological physics are encouraged to apply. The candidate isexpected to work with the Principal Investigator of the Theoretical BiologicalPhysics on proposal writing to seek federal funding on related subjects. Thecandidate must work with the team to publish journals and manage and run theTheoretical Biological Physics lab on a daily basis. Candidates must alsodemonstrate a commitment and potential for excellence in mentoring the graduatestudents and undergraduate students in research. Effective communication skillsare required.

Position requires a candidate with a PhD degree in Physics. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
