TheCollege of Engineering at the University of Houston invites applications for Lecturer positions to join the Undergraduate Student Success Program (USSP) facultyteam, whose main role is teaching first and second year engineering students at the UH main Campus and our new campus in Katy, Texas. This facultyteam works closely with the college's academicadvisors, with faculty in many departments; filling a crucial role in equipping first-year students for success.The main organizations within Undergraduate StudentSuccess are The Programfor Mastery of Engineering Studies (PROMES) and the Honors Engineering Program (HEP). These programsseek to providea positive and supportive environment where studentsare enabled to succeed academically while gainingan understanding of the engineering profession and its disciplines.

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to function in a collaborative atmosphere with multiple stakeholders. Candidates must possess a solid commitment to engineering education and excellentcommunication skills.Applicants must possess a PhD or equivalent in an engineering discipline including engineering education, a relatededucation field,or a related STEM field.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS Exceptional candidates will have experience working with first-yearengineering programs and/orhave a record of scholarly activitiesin the area of engineering education.
