The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of Houston invites applications for a full-time lecturer in Japanese to teach language courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.

Experience in teaching Japanese language at all levels of the curriculum is required. Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and English and an MA degree in Japanese, applied linguistics, foreign language pedagogy, or related field is required.
Official transcripts of all academic degrees are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidate. All positions at the University of Houston are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
