Job Description

Bring your 7+ years of Java developer skills and put them to good use on exciting projects. Working with MapR, Restful WebServices and Spring Boot.

Required Skills

Here's what you would do:

  • Develop web applications and portals, based on business requirements
  • Work with other developers and architects in solving new and existing technical issues
  • Work on existing product with ability to effectively analyze current functionality and recommend potential enhancements
  • Ability to communicate and work with business analysts, functional users, & other developers to translate business requirements into technical ideas and ensure that code functionality meets requirements

Required Experience

Here's what you've done:

  • At least 7+ yrs experience in Java programming
  • Experience in MapR, Hortonworks or Cloudera a plus
  • Algorithms, Threading, Network programming
  • REST/SOAP, Web Services
  • Spring Boot and or other frameworks
  • Class Loaders, Debugging, Profiling, Memory management, Deployment
  • Application design experience
  • Build (MVN or Gradle)
  • Knowledge of relational database design and development in Oracle databases a plus
  • Strong interpersonal communications and an affinity to work in a team environment
  • Very good inter-personal skills along with previous experience interacting with end-users and various systems groups
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities, adapt to changing business needs, and have a flexible, positive attitude
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
  • Self-motivated and can effectively manage tasks from start to finish.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required
  • Java Certification preferred, but not required
