  • Overview & Responsibilities

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Responsible for developing, leading and maintaining a strong, reliable Contract to Cash Accounting team. This individual will oversee high visibility projects within the C2C team, must ensure timely completion of processes while adhering to applicable SOX requirements, develop and implement process improvements, ensure processes are sufficiently documented, analyze data and prepare reports, collaborate with vendors and other departments to accomplish mutually aligned goals and regularly communicate with field locations as well as management to ensure satisfaction.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of the Contract to Cash team to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are accomplished
    • Ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner and that the appropriate business controls are in place for all procedures
    • Perform quality review of all processes related to Contract to Cash
    • Interact heavily with the off-shore Contract to Cash team
    • Advise Manager on a weekly basis of the status, current issues and pending resolution for all processes, projects and tasks related to Contract to Cash
    • Coach, develop and mentor team to ensure competency gaps are closed and to provide opportunities for development
    • Handle escalated inquiries that the Contract to Cash team cannot resolve directly, including technical challenges (Access, SQL, etc.)
    • Adhere to SOX controls and GAAP guidelines for all processes and reconciliations; consistently review procedures to confirm that appropriate controls are used
    • Oversee the tracking of payments and ensure that all receipts are properly processed
    • Research issues, including resolution of unapplied cash items, exception items, double posting, non-sufficient fund returns and out of balance conditions
    • Liaise with off-shore counterparts to ensure inquiries are answered in a timely manner
    • Maintain process maps and procedures for the team
    • Manage relationships North America Sales, HMIS and Information Support and other SCI Finance Accounting Departments, as well as vendors
    • Analyze processes to provide, develop and implement process improvements within the Contract Entry team
    • Manage corporate payments (ACH, Wire Transfer, Lockbox) including the review of issues and audits
    • Develop and implement process improvements within the department
    • Oversee all monthly write offs (1st and 2nd placements), as well as the Location direct placement functions
    • Reconcile reports from the 3rd party providers with HMIS payment postings for 1st and 2nd placements
    • Ensure accuracy of check requests for contingency payments in a timely manner
    • Participate in monthly meetings with 3rd party providers
    • Provide updated training to the team and/or Locations when necessary
    • Coordinate system testing for acquisition integrations; review test results for accuracy
    • Coordinate lockbox testing and scan line setups for acquisitions
    • Must be able to travel within the US and India.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelors Degree required

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • 3+ years supervisory, management, project management and/or industry experience

    • Competent user of standard IT applications including proficiency in Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and be able to run SQL queries.
    • Related banking experience
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with field locations, management, peers and other corporate department personnel
    • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to gain confidence and cooperation of others; must be able to interact with individuals of varying levels and abilities
    • Strong work ethic with an ability to work in a high volume , fast-paced, frequently changing environment
    • Ability to work in teams across international borders
