    The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of complex or large projects spanning one or more areas of the business. Manages resources, schedules, and financials and adheres to stage gate quality control guidelines throughout the full project life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. The Senior Project Manager has the authority to run the project(s) on a day-to-day basis and verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.


    • Plan, budget, oversee, and document all phases of a project including concept, feasibility, planning, execution and closure
    • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for multiple large-scale, multi work stream projects and or programs simultaneously
    • Collaborates with stakeholders to:
    • Develop a business case for the project prior to project approval
    • Ensure business requirements are clearly defined and documented
    • Define the scope, risks, mitigation plans, potential issues and resource requirements
    • Ensure benefits can be realized while managing the impact of the organizational change to the business and sponsor
    • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to, and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
    • Develops portfolio and or program level dashboards, monthly reports, schedules, budgets, presentations and related performance metrics
    • Decisiveness in resolving business problems, decision making and identifying priorities
    • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or more areas of the business
    • Provides leadership and strategic direction to the project team, manages activities and resources
    • Chairs project team and Executive Steering Committee meetings
    • Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations
    • Provide status reporting to leadership regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, mitigation plans, metrics, test and deployment
    • Develops unique knowledge of each client‘s business, organization and objectives
    • Cognizant of new project management techniques and trends to apply to the PMO
    • Measure and track progress using various tools and techniques
    • Develop working relationships with program stakeholders, sponsors and executives
    • Positively represent and market PMO services to the organization
    • Lead the development of goals and objectives for each project
    • Manage the process and progress of each project to ensure the client’s needs are met
    • Manage project scope and change control processes
    • Participate in vendor selections and development as well as assisting in development of Statements of Work and specifications for evaluation by key stakeholders
    • Drive implementation by utilizing the change managers effectively
    • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, dependencies and critical deliverables
    • Ensure presentations and all work produced are of highest quality
    • Understand the processes of the PMO and the roles of each team member
    • Proven ability to partner with and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
    • Ability to train and mentor others on effective project management techniques
    • Assumes additional responsibilities as required

    Requirements & Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
      • PMP certification required
      • PgMP certification preferred


    • 8+ years of experience as a project manager
    • 2+ years of experience as a program manager preferred
