Job Purpose & Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and implementing a proven approach to workforce strategy on the basis of SWP, analytics and insights.
  • Provide thought leadership through internal and external research on the Future of Work and how digital / technology is changing work, the workforce and workplaces
  • Continuously conduct benchmarking studies and market intelligence to ensure adaption of latest workforce trend, future of work, analyze competitors & market movements
  • Closely partner with leaders from across the enterprise to understand customer needs, prioritize capabilities, build a platform roadmaps, coordinate delivery of these capabilities,and drive adoption of them
  • Continuously scan external market regarding research and insights on the future of work, digitization, augmentation and automation of work.
  • Provide thought leadership to the organisation by providing information that is relevant for the current and future workforce of SABIC overall and for specific job families and roles.
  • Develop and enhance knowledge of best practices globally and locally, including issues such as labor market trends and impact of AI on work, workforce and workplace.
  • Co-develop and design the development & implementation of proactive recruitment and retention strategies, which ensure the right capabilities at the right time at the right cost are available in line with strategic and operational business strategies and plans
  • Provide insight and best practice research information on critical capabilities for the future, talent recruitment and retention strategies, capability management and development strategies as well as workforce productivity and transformation initiatives and strategies in line with strategic and operational business strategies and plans, and to determine workload and advice on optimum staffing level requirements
  • Liaise with the analytics and platforms teams in statistical analysis and measurement to identify workforce trends and meaningful information in data; address trends, threats and opportunities for leadership awareness and decision making
  • Assist business leaders and HR leadership globally in developing and deploying SWP&A capabilities in partnership with HRBP and CoEs leaders and solving for workforce-related business challenges
  • Mentors HR teams in scenario planning and gap analysis to develop mitigation strategies and action plans; set the approach to monitoring and reviewing the health of critical workforce segments.

  • Masters Degree in Business, Corporate Strategy, Commerce, Business Analytics, HR or related field (incl. finance and statistics)
  • 6-8 years of experience in related fields
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Proven experience designing and implementing a strategic workforce planning or human capital strategy capability in a complex organization
  • Experience in the facilitation of strategy development and complex research and transformation processes
  • Demonstrated consulting experience working with business/HR leadership to diagnose workforce challenges and customize a strategic workforce planning or analytics approach to meet the business leader’s objectives
  • Solid understanding of talent strategies and experience working with integrated HR processes designed to attract, develop and retain an engaged workforce
  • Experience leading at least two of the following areas: workforce or strategic planning, human capital strategy, consulting, HR business partner, project management, data analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead with influence
  • Proven ability to design and implement workforce strategies in large, geographically spread organizations
  • Demonstrated collaboration and teaming skills
  • Strong presence, strategic thinking and ability to deal with ambiguity
