What You Do:   

As  a  SENIOR  MI  ENGINEER , you will  leverage  your  technical expertise , industry connections, and business experience  to  support  the rapid growth and development of the organization.  You will  be a technical authority in  all things related to Mechanical Integrity (MI).  You will  work closely with the  Engineering team to develop novel solutions to  challenging customer problems.  You will help drive the closure of significant  deals by providing valuable technical insights to customers and our  Sales  personnel .  You will be a technical shepherd to the organization  to  ensure that technical risks are properly  identified  and their impacts minimized.  You will work  alongside   our  Talent Evolution  and Project  group s  to identify training gaps and develop technical content that  will  help to  quickly  expand the overall knowledge base of the organization.   And finally, you will act as PinnacleART’s face to the industry, representing the team at industry conferences, trade-shows, and  committees  


Report to   Engineering   Manager  

Location:  Pasadena, TX  


Job  Responsibilities :  

  • Formulate and solidify service offerings that bring value to PinnacleART customers  

  • Define  and interpret customer  requirements  

  • Provide technical oversight  of MI  efforts  to  exceed customer expectations  

  • Consult with  Sales   personnel  on new opportunities and help close deals  

  • Mentor the organization and enhance existing training programs to build competency and expertise throughout the organization  

  • Establish yourself as PinnacleART’s face to industry groups; steer the industry toward our offerings and help the organization to stay in front of industry changes  

  • Provide consulting services for project kick-offs and during crucial customer meetings  and  reviews  

  • Support  Engineering and Project teams in the analysis and review of  PinnacleART  deliverables to ensure high quality and customer confidence  

  • Build  technical knowledge into  company  standards and procedures  

  • Train and provide technical support for project teams in the theory and application of  PinnacleART’s suite of offerings  

  • Provide oversight and approval for technical  procedures and best practices   

  • Develop  and implement  solutions to gaps  in industry tools and software  

  • Serve as a  mentor  for   Engineering and  Project team members  

  • Publish articles and present at conferences that contribute to PinnacleART ’s recognition as an industry expert   

  • Guide and steward the team in  the development and expansion of PinnacleART service offerings   


Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s   degree in  STEM field   

  • 10+  years of relevant industry experience; refining or chemicals  

  • Strong understanding of the  design, operation, construction, inspection, and repair practices  of stationary  and rotating  equipment  

  • Hands-on experience  within facilities and  thorough  understanding of  mechanical integrity, field inspection, and system reliability  

  • Experience  with  implementation of reliability programs within a refining or chemical processing facility  

  • Working knowledge of  inspection techniques and API ,  ASME , and NACE  codes (i.e. API 510, 570, and 580 & AME Section VIII,  Div  1)  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills   

  • Willingness to travel 25- 50%  of the time  


Preferred Qualifications :  

  • Applicable API committee or subcommittee leadership  

  • Master’s degree in STEM Field  

  • FFS Level 3
