Overview

Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, selects and prepares medications, pharmaceutical products, and intravenous admixtures. Assists in thee dispensing and distribution of medications. Maintains pharmacy merchandise and equipment. Reviews medication cassettes for returned medication; unit doses medication; transports pharmacy merchandise. Performs other duties as required. This is a PRN position LHC Group is the preferred post-acute care partner for hospitals, physicians and families nationwide. Qualifications

Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: 1 yearLicense, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement:
  • Pharmacy Tech License
  • IV admixture certification
Experience Requirements
  • One year hospital pharmacy experience, preferred.
License Requirements
  • Current state pharmacy technician certification required
Skill Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and computer literacy skills
