Position Description

Responsibile for providing general administrative support to Terminal. Duties include: * Regulatory report submission with accuracy. Invoice preparation and entry into accounting system. * General Services Agreement and Work Directive preparation. * Inventory management including issuing, transferring and auditing stock. * Ordering, receiving, tracking and returning material. * Assist in the preparation and monitoring of O&M and Capital Budget. * Updating and revising various company manuals, plans and procedures. * Miscellaneous data entry, filing, office equipment operation and receptionist duties. * Monthly reporting including accruals, gas log entry, and p-card reallocations.Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
• Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills
• Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email
• * Basic math skills (proficiency with MS Office, databases, Windows, Internet). * Good conceptual skills to quickly learn other company software. * Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize and complete work with minimum supervision.  Work independently to manage tasks and timelines
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
• Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
• Other daily, weekly, and monthly duties, and special projects, as assigned

• Perform the monthly billing process, accounts receivable administration (including communications with customers regarding collections and communications of collections status to management)
•Prepare general ledger account reconciliations

•Coordinate revenue forecast and budget data
•Perform Ad Hoc revenue analysis and reporting
•Comply with all KMT policies and procedure. Experience in Lawson, MAXIMO and PAWS is a plus. 

Position Requirements

EDUCATION:
•Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or Business school; or High School Diploma with two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
•Minimum five years direct work experience in an accounting-related position, specifically experience in an automated, multi-entity financial system.
•Good organizational, communication and PC skills.
•Individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Accounting and payroll systems, Excel spreadsheet software, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint and experience with charts and graphs.
•Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules and follow work rules.
•Must possess customer service skills; being cordial while interacting with customers. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
•Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's driver’s license and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment.
•Must possess safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facility and as required by Kinder Morgan at all locations.
•Proficient PC Skills; MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other Office Suite general products.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to present ideas, proposals and results to business segment leaders and to internal and external customer
•Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, including tracking and managing projects.
•Ability to efficiently present information in a one on one setting and in small groups situations to customer, clients and other employees.
•Good communication ability. Knowledge of accounting/budgeting. Ability to meet deadlines.

Natural Gas Pipelines

With approximately 70,000 miles of pipelines, we are the largest natural gas transporter and storage operator in the United States. Our pipelines are connected to every important natural gas resource play, including the Eagle Ford, Marcellus, Utica, Uinta, Haynesville, Fayetteville, Barnett, Mississippi Lime and Woodford, that will play a significant role in meeting the nation’s long term natural gas supply. We serve the major consuming markets of the entire United States. Key assets include premier interstate pipelines that stretch from coast to coast and a huge intrastate pipeline system in Texas, the state which is the largest producer and consumer of natural gas in the United States.

CO2

We are the leading transporter and marketer of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the United States. We deliver approximately 1.3 billion cubic feet per day of CO2 through about 1,300 miles of pipelines. We also produce more than 50,000 barrels of oil per day. Key assets include CO2 source fields in southwestern Colorado, pipelines that transport CO2 from Colorado to New Mexico and Texas, and oil production fields in the Permian Basin of West Texas.

Products Pipelines

We transport about more than 2 Million barrels daily of gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, natural gas liquids and biofuels through more than 8,000 miles of pipelines. Key assets include refined petroleum pipelines and terminal storage and blending systems that serve California, Florida and other states in the western and southeastern United States. We also transport crude and condensate from the Eagle Ford shale to the Houston Ship Channel. Specific to renewable fuels, our Products and Terminals business segments combined handle about 30 percent of all of the ethanol used in the United States.

Terminals

We operate approximately 180 terminals that have a combined liquids storage capacity of more than 110 million barrels for refined petroleum products, crude oil, chemicals and biofuels. We also handle over 105 million tons per year of dry bulk materials such as coal, petroleum coke and steel. Key assets include large liquids terminals on the Houston Ship Channel and in New York Harbor, Los Angeles Harbor and Edmonton, Alberta, as well as strategically located coal terminals in the Southeast and along the Gulf Coast.

Kinder Morgan Canada

Our Trans Mountain pipeline system originates in Edmonton, Alberta, and is the only oil sands pipeline that transports crude oil and refined petroleum to Vancouver, British Columbia, and Washington State. We have proposed and are pursuing a major expansion of Trans Mountain.
