Position Description

Primary Purpose: Perform accounting, and commercial analysis for the KM Treating commercial group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Commercial accounting and contract support- Request set-up of accounting combos for new locations, notify distribution of accounting and contractual info for new contracts, start-ups, and terminations. Enter plant and location info into contracts database. Track plants in service, start-ups and terminations.


. Assist business development team with proposal generation.
C. Assist with prospecting for potential customers using Drilling Info software.
D. Assist with marketing and mass email campaigns.


Budgets and Financial Forecasting – Assist commercial group with budgets and forecasting


Develop and maintain

KM Treating Marketing material


Contract/AP Research


Maintain asset net book values

• Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Accounting or equivalent professional experience.

Experience / Specific Knowledge:
• Minimum three (3) years of industry related experience

Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must have well developed oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency level in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must be self motivated; capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must be flexible and able to work effectively with a team, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to company and insurer required.

Working Conditions:.
• Routinely required to work alone (unsupervised).
• Majority of the work will be conducted from an office environment
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• The nature of the work requires a significant amount of visual acuity for reading, in order to review documents, proofread work, create documents, as well as the review, editing and creation of documents on the computer

Job level will be commensurate with experience and skill set. Other duties not detailed above will be assigned as necessary.

Position Requirements

Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications, Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
• Experience with Kinder Morgan financial and tools (KM Budget system, DART/ODEP, Capital Management System, Lawson modules…)
• Experience in oil & gas business accounting and/or financial reporting.
• Familiarity in oil & gas commercial and operational contracts.
• General understanding of natural gas, NGL and crude oil production, natural gas processing operations, crude oil refining operations, petrochemical operations, and associated terminology within each industry.
• Experience in developing and monitoring budgets. Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with Drilling Info Software

• Ability to understand and analyze all aspects of a proposed commercial transaction (financial, contractual, legal, operational and marketing).
