Vice President, Operations Projects

Venture Global LNG seeks Vice President, Operations Projects in Houston, TX. 80% national & international travel required. Responsible for all Projects within the Operational Assets focused on delivering from the Pre-FEED stage through to detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover for the operating LNG facility.

This job requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management Studies, Construction Management, or related field and 12 years of Oil and Gas experience serving in a senior leadership role involving LNG related engineering and construction projects OR a Master’s degree in Engineering, Management Studies, Construction Management, or related field and 10 years of Oil and Gas experience serving in a senior leadership role involving LNG related engineering and construction projects.

Must have the following prior experience:

·      Minimum 5 years’ experience working for Major EPC Contractors in delivering large scale EPC Contractors.

·      Experience in oil and gas industry specifically in large-scale LNG project execution across multiple EPC LSTK, including pre-Financial Investment Decision (FID) through to Project completion, in a senior leadership role.

·      Experience in both modularized and stick built execution techniques in large-scale LNG project execution from initiation to completion.

·      Experience in engineering/construction/commissioning of a minimum of 2 LNG technologies.

·      Experience with managing the project lifecycle, specifically experience in major project initiation works, bulk construction works, and commissioning closeout.

·      Experience with managing a stage gate process-specifically from project initiation through feasibility, execution, and closeout.

·      Commercial experience, including presenting EPC and other technical activities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·      Experience as Incident Commander when major incidents occur within major projects.

·      Experience working with various stakeholders involved with project execution including suppliers, joint venture partners, EPC contractors, and regulatory groups.

·      Experience mitigating commercial risk to enhance opportunities for successful business/project performance.

·      Experience working for EPC sub-contractors delivering projects for EPC Contractors.

80% national and international travel required.
