Sales Engineer

As the ideal candidate, you must have experience calling on industrial clients in some sort of sales, engineering, mechanical or technical capacity. These clients would include oil and gas (onshore and offshore), refineries, chemical, desalination, EPC firms, design engineers, metals mining, power plants, etc. You must be comfortable discussing hydraulics as they pertain to water pumping and piping systems, wastewater systems and fire protection and how to attain maximum efficiencies in these systems through the use of our client’s products.

Responsibilities:

  • Create new opportunities for the company and consistent follow up on potential opportunities
  • Initiate, grow and maintain a list of industrial customers and projects
  • Keep track of existing opportunities and maintain a strict and organized schedule of the customers that have been called on and need to be called on
  • Create work plan, host seminars for customers, attend industry seminars and participate in exhibitions and trade shows (some could be international)
  • Partner with company executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience calling on engineers or design firms preferred
  • Proven track record of selling in some or all of the mechanical and industrial sectors described above
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in fluid pumping and/or piping systems
  • Texas based – greater Houston preferred
  • Travel to corporate office in Israel occasionally. Once a year most likely (more in first year).
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
