Railcar fleet management, serving as primary contact with all railroads for overall Oilfield Technology Group (OTG) rail activities and issues.
Railcar fleet management, serving as primary contact with all railroads for overall Oilfield Technology Group (OTG) rail activities and issues. Oversee plant and Transload personnel in their liaison with local railroad personnel when necessary. Maintain accurate railcar activity status, optimize rail fleet network, and minimize demurrage costs, utilizing Bourque Data Systems’ RailTrac, Bulk Transport Optimizer (BTO) tool and railroad contacts. Responsible for creation and proactive maintenance of all supply chain relevant SAP master data. Provide SAP technical assistance and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) support to supply chain network. Make recommendations to the Business Management Team for proper number of railcars in OTG lease fleet and sub-fleets. Use Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, Lean, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Minitab) to support continuous improvement initiatives and development within the Manufacturing, Logistics, and Supply Chain functions. Monitor and lead root cause analysis (SIPOC, Fish Bone, 5 Why) for supply chain metrics such as forecast accuracy, excess inventory, non-optimal freight, demurrage costs, and adherence to production plans. Requires 10% of domestic travel.
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in supply chain/logistics management, process engineering, industrial engineering or related field and two (2) years’ experience as supply chain/logistics analyst, operations research analyst, or related role. In lieu of a Master’s and two (2) years, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in supply chain/logistics management, process engineering, industrial engineering or related field and four (4) years’ experience as supply chain/logistics analyst, operations research analyst, or related role.
Two (2) years’ experience in: rail fleet tracking and management tools such as RailPort, RailTrac or similar tools; managing inventory; utilizing software including SAP, MRP and Microsoft Office Suite; data analysis and trouble-shooting; inventory management and control; project management; supply chain/logistics processes.
