Harris Health System is seeking an experienced and/or specialized Residency trained Pharmacist with a Passion for Investigational Drug Studies, Research and HIV Care to manage Pharmacy processes of new and ongoing research studies. This Position will be responsible for compliance of general and study-specific regulatory and/or safety related processes with Texas State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, CITI, NIH and applicable regulations. The Candidate will manage Clinic or Hospital research protocols, serve as a Member of the Institutional Review Board and other Advisory Boards.
The Investigational Drugs Pharmacy Specialist will maintain investigational drug files and develop efficient operational processes that provide excellence in Patient Care and Patient Safety. He/She should expect to participate in article submissions for Peer Review and to serve as an Expert Resource on HIV Clinical Trials for Houston. As a Member of a multidisciplinary health care Team, the Investigational Pharmacy Specialist must be a Team Player, and provide the full range of distributive, clinical, consultative, research and/or administrative pharmaceutical services. Thomas Street Clinic and Harris Health System is a teaching Facility and Candidates should expect to Mentor, Train and oversee Pharmacy Residents and Interns; participate in Training/Education for Pharmacy, Nursing and Physician Team Members. In addition, assist our University Partners with didactic lectures, if needed.
The ideal Candidate will have experience across multiple settings and varies disease states as they may be required to assist at different Locations.
