Job Profile

The Health Plan Specialist- Broker Coordinator is responsible for administrative processes associated with licensing, approval, re-applications, and re-certifications of Community Health Choice Agents/Broker partners. This position will participate in onboarding new Agents/Broker partners, including tracking and overseeing contracting and training and will ensure that no lapses in licensing occur and that Agents/Brokers meet all company, compliance, and licensing requirements. They will manage multiple inboxes and serve as the liaison between Agent/Broker sales force and operations up to and including troubleshooting. Additonally the Broker Coordinator will:

  • provide company communications to Agents/Brokers and management in addition to preparing various weekly and monthly performance reports, presentations and materials
  • assist at Agent/Broker and Community events as needed (including some weekends & evenings).
  • will maintain and prow the Agent/Broker partnership to assist the sales team in achieving departmental goals and provide excellent customer service while complying with all appropriate regulatory guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Life and Health license within 90 days of hire date
  • One plus (1+) year experience in Health insurance, Healthcare, Medicare or other regulated industry to include customer service experience.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Excellent computer skills required, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must be able to utilize laptop, wireless internet equipment, phone system and portable printer. Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
  • Writing /Composing (Correspondence/Reports )
  • MS Word/MS Excel
  • Must be familiar with health insurance programs and their components, including STAR Medicaid/CHIP programs and Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Have a proven ability to work independently, take initiative and bring projects through to completion.
  • Must have the ability to manage competing priorities and re-prioritize work as needed and have the ability to maintain focus in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have reliable, insured transportation.
