Job Description

Job Function / Purpose

  • At the direction of the Logistics manager, pack, unpack, load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments to/from the Gyrodata, Inc. corporate facility

Essential Duties

  • Load and unload trucks, tools, and/or equipment
  • Pack outgoing tools and/or equipment as per department and company guidelines
  • Unpack incoming tools and/or equipment and disseminate to the appropriate location
  • Work with Inventory Control personnel to maintain equipment stock
  • Manually stock inventory shelving or bins with stock items received
  • Utilize asset tracking software to check-in or transfer tools and/or equipment
  • Fulfill intercompany parts requests (IPR), and log info into database and tracking software
  • Deliver tools and/or equipment to the airport, freight forwarder, or vendor as needed
  • Maintain relationships with third party transportation companies
  • Assist the Transportation & Logistics Coordinator with preparation of shipping documents
  • Follow safe handling procedures for lithium batteries
  • Organize lithium battery disposal runs

HSE Function

  • Comply with applicable safety standards and maintain a safe working environment

QA Function

  • Comply with applicable quality assurance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of logistics experience
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems including SharePoint, Agresso and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral Spanish communication skills
  • Some oil field services industry experience
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Commercial Driver’s License
  • DOT Hazmat Certification

Working Conditions                                                               

  • The job is performed in an office and shop or warehouse environment with some exposure to safety hazards, potentially including cold, heat, noise, machinery, electricity and chemicals that may require wearing protective equipment and compliance with specific safety protocols. The job requires physical exertion including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to sixty (60) pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting and a range of physical motion. The job requires operation of tools, machinery, equipment, computers and telephones. The job requires following written and oral instructions, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work with others and ability to meet deadlines. The job requires following established policies and procedures, meeting quality and safety standards and regular attendance.
