This position will provide professional as well as clerical support to the County Judge’s Office in a temporary capacity. Create and increase social media presence and visibility of the Office throughout our diverse community. Work to develop briefings and memos regarding the complex policy issue the County Judge’s office navigates. The position assists full-time staff by providing technical and administrative support on projects.
The position will assist staff with developing relevant content topics and managing and handling of compliments, complaints and issues on social media in a professional manner. Assist with publicity for events and possible event attendance. Assisting with the Office Newsletter. Assisting with taking photos as needed. Gathering, compiling, and collecting data to support projects. Assists in obtaining, documenting, organizing, analyzing, and integrating data. May assist with assessments, evaluations, reporting and research.
High School Diploma/GED; Sixty (60) hours of college level coursework required. Applicants must be detail-oriented, conscientious, and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Understanding and working knowledge of multiple social media platforms. Must possess familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels. Experience with word-processing, spreadsheets, database management, internet programs/ applications is required. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as good organizational and interpersonal skills.
SALARY: Volunteer - This is an unpaid position
DURATION: 12 Weeks - Flexible, but semester-based internships are preferable
