Position Description

As a member of a Flowserve Quick Repair Center in Beaumont, TX. you will be responsible for providing a strong focus on quality workmanship for different kinds of materials, to include a variety of steels and components to repair pumps used in industrial settings, such as refineries and factories.

Welder duties include, but not limited to:
  • Set up and utilization of rotary positioners.
  • Weld repair castings defects to restore casting integrity.
  • Complete fit restoration on inside & outside diameters as well as shoulders and faces.
  • Follow weld procedures as required, including pre-heats and post weld heat treats.
  • Complete hardness checks and document results Maintain welder continuity logs in an online SharePoint site. Complete weld touch-up in various areas of the facility using portable welder.
  • Complete fabrications of both plate and tube stock.

        Position Requirements
        • High school diploma or equivalent
        • Basic computer skills
        • 2 years welding experience
        • Basic knowledge in welding with MIG, TIG and STICK in materials such as 300 & 400 series stainless steels, Inconel and a variety of steels.
        • Read and interpret drawings using conventional tolerances as well as geometric tolerances
        • Must be able to trouble-shoot and solve problems with welding processes and results
        • Able to define, evaluate and discuss quality workmanship related to welding
        • Able to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
        • Must be able to work overtime hours including weekends and holidays
