Position Description
 
Flowserve is seeking a Lead Principal IIoT engineer with in-depth experience in wireless sensors to innovate in the space of Industrial IoT. You will work closely with key stakeholders to develop deep industry knowledge across all industries that Flowserve supports. You will be involved in the building out the entire product life cycle including idea generation, solution architecting, product development, prototyping, testing, and commercial deployment.  You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of professional and external partners located around the world!

Preferences
  • Advanced Technical degree with experience in technical documentation and or publications
  • The ideal candidate will have small team to midsize team lead experience in IIoT/IoT industrial space with Cloud deployed systems and basic understanding of Microsoft Azure components
  • Technical project management experience as phase-gate processes and participating in WBS creation would be  a plus
  • Field experience in a Customer support and or Customer management environment 
  • Software programming is a plus


Position Requirements
  
  • 8-10 years of work experience with 5+ years in sensor systems and products used in IIoT/IoT industrial processes.
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure or related Cloud Technology
  • Experience leading small teams to midsize team in full life cycle development with project/program management oversight
  • Working knowledge of chemical process plants, petroleum refineries, and/or water processing systems – familiar with onsite troubleshooting, safety processes, time spent working at one or more of these sites.
  • Experienced in the creation of technical documentation and communications materials
  • Development level knowledge in wireless sensors.
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Basic project management knowledge and the ability to participate in planning, budgeting, and creating work breakdown structures.
  • Basic knowledge of business systems including ERP and PLM tools. These may include but are not limited to SAP, Oracle, and Windchill. Product commercialization and related change management processes.
  • Proven experience with CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with the classification of explosion proof or intrinsically safe devices. 10-20% travel - domestic and international
  • Relocation assistance is available

Education:

  • Undergraduate Engineering Degree Required: Mechatronic, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, and/or chemical. Masters or PhD highly preferred.



Physical:

  • Able to participate in mechanical and fluid systems troubleshooting.
  • Conduct work in an electronics laboratory environment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting product quality issues in electronics manufacturing facilities.
