The Senior Server Specialist (Active Directory) will perform Windows Active Directory Administration in a Windows Server environment.  Additionally this person will assist application teams with identity integrations, be it LDAP, SAML, etc.  The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) on AD and identity architecture, and take an ownership role in identity management.  The candidate will also assist with general Windows Server administration tasks such as provisioning and troubleshooting. 
Responsibilities of the Senior Server Specialist (Active Directory) include, but are not limited to:  
•           Design, administrate and troubleshoot Active Directory

•           Administer ADFS and Microsoft Certificate Services (PKI) infrastructure

•           AD security policy and group maintenance
•           Server build, Rack/Stack
•           VMWare Virtual Server support and setup, along with vmotion experience
•           Troubleshooting Windows file access problems
•           Understand basic concepts with DNS/DHCP
•           Performs production/development system administration
•           Available for problem resolution 24x7
•           Performs root cause analysis for any assigned problem
•           Change Management tasks implementation
•           Software and Patch Management deployment
•           Hardware Maintenance
•           Documentation
•           Performance monitoring and tuning
•           Projects as assigned


Qualifications

 

 

  • College or technical school degree is preferred, but not required
  • Possessing any of the following certifications would be highly desired: MCSE/MCSA Windows 2012/2016
  • Experience designing and building Active Directory forests and domains
  • Experience designing and implementing AD security policies to meet security and compliance needs and best practices
  • Experience building secure authentication solutions via SAML/WSFED or kerberos SSO
  • Experience working in medium to large scale, enterprise environment consisting of 1000 servers, multiple remote locations, and mobile users
  • Experience with general Windows System Administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and familiarity with Active Directory cmdlets
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ADFS and Certificate Services products
  • Experience with Configuration Management via PowerShell DSC or Ansible a plus
  • Familiarity with git version control and TFS release pipelines a plus
  • Troubleshooting proficiency utilizing tools such as Process Explorer, TCPview, nslookup, Wireshark, etc. a plus.
