Job Description

The Master Scheduler will create/plan the master production schedule for a primarily ETO/CTO manufacturing environment. This role will have direct contact with customer service regarding customer updates, lead time requests, etc. Daily contact will be with buyer/planners, production, quality control, management staff and corporate personnel. A suitable candidate will be able to work in a team environment demonstrate leadership qualities. 
  • Creates/maintains master production schedules daily taking material supply and mfg. capacity into consideration.
  • Develop/establish production schedules for key departments and monitor performance metrics.
  • Create work orders to support the production schedule as needed.
  • Communicates with customer service when there are significant variations in product demand and/or capacity.
  • Responds to lead time requests for new or potential orders/RFQs.
  • Communicates demand information across the facility so that everyone is aware of volume and metrics.
  • Facilitates scheduled production meetings and adhoc meetings when required.
  • Contributes to and/or participates in pre-S&OP meetings.
  • Acts as a department liaison for large project orders.
  • Works directly with buyer/planners to resolve scheduling issues as they arise.
  • Documents key information for analysis in scheduling accuracy.
  • Initiate process improvements and train buyer/planners as needed.
  • Supports buyer/planner functions as needed


  • Bachelors Degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years job related manufacturing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills—specifically Excel (vlookup, pivot table, macros)
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning Systems
  • Experience working with bills of materials
  • Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English)
  • Follow written and/or oral instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience

  • Previous experience with Oracle
  • ASCM certified in CPIM or CSCP
