Texas Connections Academy @ Houston (TCAH) is a Texas Online School that offers 100% virtual instruction to public school students across Texas in grades 3-12 who are not physically present on a campus during instruction. The TxVSN OLS program is authorized by Texas Education Code (TEC) Chapter 30A and administered through TEA. For the 2019-2020 school year, TCAH has a 8,000 student enrollment cap. Connections Education, LLC is in partnership with Houston ISD to provide this high quality and rigorous virtual instruction through TCAH.

Position Summary:

Working from our office in Houston, the Student Records and State Reporting Administrative Assistant is responsible for daily administrative tasks of the school such as updating the student information system, requesting and fulfilling records, answering phones and email, handling sensitive and confidential information, assisting the principal and teachers with administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Entering data into multiple online student information systems including enrollments, withdrawals, demographics, immunizations, and schedules;
  • Working within the state reporting team to ensure student data is entered in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Answering phones and promptly returning calls;
  • Interacting with team members to verify data;
  • Efficiently and politely assisting parents, students, and other school representative and officials with their needs;
  • Working individually and within a team to accomplish projects and tasks;
  • Attending mandatory training for both the campus and district levels;
  • Innovative in seeking ways to improve efficiency and accuracy of data entry and student records;
  • Assisting school administration team with a wide variety of daily responsibilities; and
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Requirements
