Description
The PeopleSoft technical resource will be engaged in all phases of the software life cycle which include requirements gathering, design, development, test, deploy, support, analyze, debug existing and new enhancements to the PeopleSoft Financials application. This resource will work closely with the functional leads at Calpine to provide technical support for at least four PeopleSoft modules from Purchasing ,Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Travel and Expense, Treasury ,General Ledger and Project Costing.
In addition, they will also support integrations with edge systems such as Sabrix and be able to work with departments such as Tax to resolve any transactional issues arising from the integration. This resource will also work closely with the administrators of the Trintech Accounting Reconciliation application interfacing with Vendor support as needed to ensure that any issues are resolved in a timely manner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Elicit end user business requirements and accurately translate them into technical specifications and in turn incorporate these into base system design documentation.
2. Design, develop, test and deploy major/minor application enhancements as per the business needs.
3. Assist in supporting day to day activities of the PeopleSoft Financials user base.
4. Troubleshoot and debug any complex issues that may arise.
5. Perform root cause analysis of application issues and innovatively design solutions to avoid future occurrences.
6. Identify areas where there is scope for improvement in application performance and work with the DBA and infrastructure team to implement changes as needed.
7. Work with the infrastructure team to assist with any server deployments as they relate to the PeopleSoft application.
8. Assists in communicating major/minor enhancements, bug-fixes and coordinates with other support personnel to ensure seamless rollout of new functionality to internal customers.
9. Provide first and second level technical support for internal customers to meet pre-defined application SLAs
10. Collaborate with and apprise relevant IS peers of critical project and end-user issues and status of ongoing projects and work effectively towards department and corporate goals.
11. Works closely with the Tax team to administer and configure Sabrix as it relates to its integration with PeopleSoft
12. Work closely with the Accounting team to support the Trintech Assurenet and Unity applications and interact with vendor support to resolve issues.
13. Work closely with third party application teams such as Maximo, UltiPro, Allegro, SOA and Sabrix to resolve any issues with their integration with the PeopleSoft application.
14. Proactively learn new modules, tools and technologies in and out of the PeopleSoft development space as needed.


Requirements
1. 1. A degree in Computer Science or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of experience using PeopleSoft with a focus on at least four of the following modules: Purchasing , Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Travel and Expense , Treasury , General Ledger and Project Costing .
2. Experienced in developing custom and bolt-on applications for PeopleSoft using all the major PeopleTools objects with a focus on Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, Approval Workflow Engine, Dashboards and WorkCenters.
3. Must be a well-rounded resource with provable IDE, integration and reporting tools knowledge such as SQR, Crystal, XML Publisher and nVision.
4. Good functional and technical documentation skills.
5. Good problem analysis/resolution skills
6. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and interact confidently with individuals at all levels; must be dedicated to a high degree of customer service with the ability to work well in a team environment
