Job Description Summary:

Uses advanced skills in close-in protection techniques, threat management, protective intelligence, surveillance/surveillance detection, defensive driving, tactical shooting, self defense techniques, first aid/CPR/AED to protect executives or assigned individuals. Coordinates complex logistics arrangements for assigned individual or events, such as transportation and lodging. Uses tools of the protection trade to accomplish assignments. Conducts and documents complex advances, acts as detail leader or event coordinator, creates detailed after-action reports and negotiates with internal/external support personnel as well as Interfaces with Executive Council and Board of Director members. Produces outlines, subject matter, conducts research, uses office applications for the training purposes and identifies key equipment necessary to deliver training. Delivers training in accordance with customer requirements. Responds to emergency calls for assistance to mitigate hazardous situations. Acts as Incident Commander and determines and implements the appropriate course of action. Completes appropriate notification and documentation. Develops incident response protocols and guidelines. As a credentialed investigator, conducts investigative interviews and generates investigative reports. Conducts investigations involving senior company officials. Communicates with site security managers, Ethics, Law Department and local and federal agencies, regarding investigation results. Performs risk assessments based on trend analysis. Operates technical surveillance equipment and trains others in its use. Defines task to be performed at plant sites within established protocols and guidelines. Schedules and delegates work assignments. Assists in management of training programs. Oversees the design, development and implementation of information protection programs, processes and procedures for the protection of company people, property, information and interests. Guides the development of information protection policies and strategic, tactical and operational planning activities for information protection program sustainability. Oversees the design, development and implementation of risk management programs, processes and procedures for the protection of company people, property, information and interests. Guides the development of risk management policies and strategic, tactical and operational planning activities for risk management program sustainability. Develops schedules and distributes work assignments. Implements and administers policies, programs, and plans for the protection of sensitive government and company information. Consults with customers and company and external organizations to recommend and propose new or alternative solutions, improvements, and enhancements. Investigates, analyzes, and resolves complex questions and problems. Provides guidance and training to less experienced personnel.

Job Description Qualifications:

The Security & Fire Protection Senior Multi-Ops Specialist manages or works in multiple disciplines which may include industrial security operations, fire protection operations, uniformed security operations, fire protection engineering, investigations, access administration, emergency preparedness, automated-information security systems, education and training and special projects. Oversees design, development and implementation of organization policies, programs, processes and procedures for the purpose of safeguarding people, property, information and the environment while ensuring compliance with applicable government and company security and fire regulations. Guides the development of organization policies and strategies. Consults, advises, instructs and applies technical expertise to management and cross-functional teams in strategic, tactical, operational and business planning activities. Develops and maintains operating policies and procedures and manages ongoing organizational processes pertinent to the security and fire protection charter. Interfaces with the appropriate government agencies, company management and employees, customers, vendors and suppliers on security and fire protection related issues. The Boeing Company at the Houston site is looking for a seasoned security specialist with a background in Industrial Security and Physical Security to join the Security & Fire Protection organization.  This position will function as the Facility Security Officer for the Houston location as well as the lead physical security specialist for the site.   

The Facility Security Officer will execute Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action. Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities (to include inventory, distribution and destruction), in compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures. Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or highly complex programs. Contributes to enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) (e.g., participates in the review cycle and decision making process for enterprise export compliance, procedures (PROs), Business Process Instructions (BPI's) and Desktop Instructions (DI's).
  • Provides innovation and creativity into Personnel Security (e.g., reduce cycle time) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements. Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information. Oversees Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements.
  • Completes tasks toward long-range goals and objectives. Oversees Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.

The physical security specialist will ensure physical security standards are maintained and continuously evaluated through the Site Security Annual Risk Assessment (SSARA) program.  Consults with and advises management and functional and cross-functional teams regarding company information protection planning, development and improvement activities to protect company people, property, information and interests. Resolves information protection problems and implements improvement processes that require integration across functions to enhance operations. Provides assistance and consultation to identify, mitigate the impact of, or employ company, industry or government regulations or trends that may affect company information protection. Coordinates and conducts independent reviews, assessments and analysis of information protection actions and products for program sustainability. Consults with and advises management and functional and cross-functional teams regarding company risk management planning, development and improvement activities to protect company people, property, information and interests. Resolves risk management problems and implements improvement processes that require integration across functions to enhance operations. Provides assistance and consultation to identify, mitigate the impact of, or employ company, industry or government regulations or trends that may affect company risk management. Coordinates and conducts independent reviews, assessments and analysis of risk management actions and products for program sustainability.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Industrial Security
  • 5+ years of experience with physical security
  • FSO  Certified
  •  COMSEC Certified
  • Experience communicating with all levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cyber security
  • CPP certification

Security Clearance:

This position requires an active Top Secret with a SSBI program access U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
