Lead (w/offshore responsibilities)

Overview: 

Provide technical and scheduling assistance to local operations in order to ensure integrity of the fleet and increase the technical competence of field operation with a focus on developing customer relationships and as a working Mentor for others within local team on all aspects of the daily operations.   

Performs maintenance and repair activities on gas engines, compression and/or process equipment, at customer's location, and as directed.

Requirements:  
-Demonstrate expert diagnostic, highly efficient troubleshooting, root cause investigation and repair skills on multiple types of equipment including compressor packages and gas process equipment

-Perform any scheduled or unscheduled maintenance with no technical assistance

- Lead a team performing Major Maintenance (MM), Overhaul and MOB / DEMOB projects

- Could have call-out rotation responsibilities and the need to respond to emergency maintenance calls as required

- Provide expert level customer service and effectively communicate complex issues to customer

- Read, write and speak English (work orders, manuals, etc.)

- Serve as front line for all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures

- Use intermediate computer skills, including engine specific software (Cat and Waukesha), Internet Explorer and Outlook

- Lead by example by completing and submitting company required documentation in an accurate, thorough and timely fashion and following standard protocols

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:  

- Expert and intricate knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, controls, skid wiring, etc., through advanced training or performance verification

- Knowledge of mechanical / failure analysis and investigation

- Familiarity with latest industry technologies

- Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations

-High school diploma or equivalent preferred

- Valid driver's license and a good driving record

- Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training preferred

- Offshore training certificates

- 7 years’ experience with natural gas engines and compressors, and a working knowledge of production equipment

Work Environment:   

- Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed 

- Must meet the medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required by role (includes respiratory protection medical requirements as required by role)

- Required to stand, walk, twist, balance and stoop with good balance

- Required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds

- Regularly asked to climb in and around equipment, stairs and slanted ladders

- Regularly required to sit, kneel, and squat

- Ability to meet the OSHA offshore minimum safety standards
