Job Description
Essential Duties:
An employee may not need to perform all job description duties on a daily basis, but will be trained and expected to perform the jobs functions listed bellow:
1.Setup and change part programs on the machines
· Prepare machine to change over to a different product.
· Change out chuck jaws unassisted as necessary.
· Change tooling and inserts as necessary.
2.Operate and maintain multiple machines if they are automatic (if required to run production)
· Operate machine in accordance to standardized working practices
· Follow machine safety operating procedures
· Maintain a specified production rate on all machine operations.
· Report quantity processed on job router completely and accurately will all required information
· Report quantity processed using current ERP reporting system
3.Inspect Production
· Read and interpret work instructions.
· Know acceptable and unacceptable quality levels.
· Gauge and visually inspect parts as required by SOP (standard operating procedure).
4.Maintenance
· Perform operator maintenance including adding coolant, lubrication and hydraulic oil as required.
· Report mechanical problems, broken tooling or items on machine needing repair.
5.Participate in and support all company Quality and Safety Programs
6.

Perform all other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

This is for 1st shift, the hours are Mon-Fri from 6:00am-2:30pm

Required Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements shown below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential duties.
1.Education/Experience: (Preferred, not required)
· High school diploma or GED (general education degree)
· Three to six months work experience in a related field or industrial or mechanical experience.
2.Communication: The employee must be able to read, write and communicate in English to the extent necessary to complete the required job specific and quality training and comply with all administrative, and environmental, health and safety regulations.
3.Physical: Must pass pre-employment physicals and Drug & Alcohol screening.
4.Eyesight: An employee with natural or corrected vision should be able to see product characteristics as small as an internal 1/8” National Pipe Thread or lettering as small as #8 Arial Narrow font. Employee must be able to see objects at close range and objects in the normal periphery. An employee needs to have normal depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
5.Math Skills:
· Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers without a calculator.
· Add and subtract three place decimals, without a calculator.
· Convert fractions to decimals (employee may use a calculator or conversion chart at first, but should be able to memorize common conversions, after repeated practice).
6.Work Skills / Abilities:
· Must be able understand and follow written or verbal instructions.
· Must be able to visually inspect product for cosmetic defects.
· Maintain an established quality set-up or production rate on machines operating.
· Must be able to use hand tools, test or gauging equipment to perform the job.
