  • Overview

    Allied Reliability is working with an industrial company that is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their team. The incumbent must perform electric and electronic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced electric and electronic repairs, replacements and upgrades
    • Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness
    • Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions
    • Carries out repairs and improvements on large electrical motors, low and mid voltage panels and protection systems
    • Intervenes in sensors control loops and in variable speed drives
    • Interprets electrical drawings
    • Calibrates and performs adjustments in electronic instruments and industrial PCs
    • Verifies and ensures the availability of resources and spare parts needed for the execution of programmed tasks
    • Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications
    • Cooperates with the Base Group in preventive activities
    • Interacts with other areas
    • Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable
    • Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports
    • Familiarity with PLCs and their functionality in troubleshooting and maintenance
    • Ability to use technology to improve the reliability of equipment
    • Familiar with data logger technology and how to use for troubleshooting and root cause determination
    • Ability to analyze advanced electro-mechanical systems and how they interact with electronics
    • Familiarity with networking and how modern communication systems operate
    • Familiarity with industrial HMI’s and how to install and upload programs
    • Commit with health, safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk
    • Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations
    • Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards in accordance with minimum costs
    • Perform activities according to applicable procedures
    • Complete and update all applicable records ensuring information accuracy
    • Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning
    • Attend and collaborate in training activities in order to maintain and increase the company knowledge
    • Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities
    • Maintain a clean and ordered workplace
    • Abide by client discipline norms
    • Perform activities understanding their consequences on the global process

    Qualifications

    • 2 Year Technical Degree with at least 5 years of experience in the Industry and Entry Exam OR
    • High School Diploma with 10 years of experience in Industry and Entry Exam
    • Must have troubleshooting experience with PLC's (Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Siemens)
