We are seeking an Aftermarket Project Technician at our turbomachinery service center in Houston, Texas. This position will be responsible for providing support to commercial, project, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams engaged in executing customer orders. The successful candidate will enjoy:

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assisting Proposal Managers and Project Managers with seamless order handoffs to execution teams, including assisting with creation of execution plans, budgets, schedules, and other key order requirements,
  • Help set up sales, service, and production orders in SAP and load MRP demands for various order types,
  • Assist Project Managers with submitting customer deliverables including reports, documentation packages, quality documents, communication status updates, and similar,
  • Assist Designers with creating, maintaining and revising entries in SAP system such as for individual parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, bills of materials, commercially available fasteners and seals, etc., including setting up proper manufacturing routing steps, identifying required certifications and inspection plans, and documenting materials of construction,
  • Assist Project Managers, Production Planner, Production Supervisor, and Procurement with order expediting and tracking, especially for high profile or emergency orders,
  • Support of project close-out activity such as preparation of documentation for invoicing and shipping for domestic and international orders, and compiling lessons learned for continuous improvement opportunities,
  • Support for aspects of the Quality Management system in the Houston service facility – including addressing non-conformances and quality notifications,
  • Support manufacturing operations and centralized procurement with localized support for requisitions, inventory management and cycle counting, buying activities for raw materials and supplies, coordinating maintenance and calibration activities, etc.,
  • Supporting Leadership with compiling key performance metrics for the Aftermarket Business to gain greater insight into business performance, with data pulled from Salesforce, SAP, and other systems,
  • Assisting Commercial with maintaining customer contracts, maintaining pricing lists, etc.,
  • Assisting Aftermarket with setup and maintenance of share sites for storage of information.
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Minimum of Associate Degree or equivalent,
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with an ERP system in support of manufacturing,
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting or running projects or similar inside sales experience,
  • Self-motivated, and ability to work with minimal direction and meet deadlines,
  • Excellent attention to detail and written and oral communication skills,
  • Experience with project scheduling tools such as MS Project,
  • Experience with MS SharePoint a plus,
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects or tasks,
  • Mechanical aptitude either from past work experience or through personal hobbies (e.g., car maintenance, assembly/maintenance activity, design activity, etc.,) a plus,
  • Previous work experience with rotating machinery and related technologies preferred,
  • Knowledge of SAP as an ERP system is preferred.
