Jobing Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
UNLOAD TRUCK, PROCESS AND DISPLAY MERCHANDISE, RECEIVE AND RECORD
DONATIONS AND PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends.
2. Demonstrates professionalism at all times and presents a friendly, cooperative attitude to
general public and staff at all times.
3. Help load and unload trucks upon arrival.
4. Receive and record donations from the public.
5. Must be able to ensure that all production guidelines and deadlines are met.
6. Sort and/or price donations according to company guidelines.
7. Assist with store security.
8. Assist in keeping store production supply available.
9. Perform necessary janitorial work.
10. Conduct self in safe manner; report all injuries immediately.
11. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and providing assistance
with basic questions about store operations and/or merchandise.
12. Notify supervisor of low and overstocked items.
13. Adherence to all Goodwill policies and procedures.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Ability to communicate in English.
3. Good communication skills and ability to communicate and cooperate with the public
and department staff.
4. Honesty.
5. Ability to complete multiple tasks at one time and work in a fast-paced, team oriented
environment.
6. Clean clothing and good hygiene.
7. Punctual and dependable attendance.
8. Free from drug and alcohol abuse.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIORNMENT:
The physical demands/work environment conditions described here are representative of those

Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push
and pull. The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move
up to 100 pounds (common items include, but are not limited to bags of clothes/miscellaneous
items, televisions, computers, sofas, kitchen appliances, bicycles and bedroom sets). The
employee must also be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Indoor work environment with occasional exposure to outside temperatures (some positions
exposed to outdoor conditions on a regular basis). The noise level in the work environment is
usually moderate.

EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, AND TOOLS USED:
Telephone, mop and broom, pricing and tagging guns, metal clothes racks and hangers, trash
bins, totes, dollie, pallet jack.
