Job Title: ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR
Salary: $1,354.00 - $2,823.00 Biweekly $35,204.00 - $73,398.00 Annually Job Type: Full-Time Location: Houston, Texas PN#07081 ALL PERSONS INTERESTED ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR HOUSING and COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION RECORDS & FACILITIES MANAGEMENT 601 SAWYER, 4TH FLOOR MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00 am-5:00 pm* DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supervise central file room operations and direct document research operations. Supervise file room staff. Mediate service problems. Provide Records Management training and evaluate performance. Design file classification and index. Test and adjust design as required. Supervise file development, file maintenance, and file security. Implement records retention/destruction scheduling, archival storage, and reference documentation. Write file operations procedures. Supervise the preparation of documents for use in litigation and in response to Open Records Requests. Research the availability of regulations, reference documents, or reports as requested. Supervise projects and perform other tasks as requested. WORKING CONDITIONS There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions. *Subject to change Skills / Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS, Library Science, IT, or a closely related field. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Three years of experience in Information Management or Records Management or Library Sciences are required. MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Valid Texas Driver's License and compliance with the City of Houston policy on driving (AP 2-2). PREFERENCES: Prior supervisor experience. Prior Records Management experience, especially electronic records management. MIS, Library Science or Public Administration ITD background preferred. Microsoft application skills and written and oral communication skills required. Organization skills required.
