Enterprise Holdings, parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car, is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician!
The ideal candidate will have experience working with tools and will be able to work full time Monday thru Friday, with overtime if needed. This position will be based out of the corporate office at 10401 Centrepark Drive, Suite 100, Houston, Texas 77043 and reporting to the Group Operations Manager, but most of the day-to-day responsibilities will be out in the field in our branches. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing a majority of maintenance and repair necessary at our rental and administrative offices. We will provide a vehicle and supplies to help with completing daily tasks. Skills / Requirements
Partner with Operations Team to provide continuing maintenance tasks at branch locations throughout the Houston and surrounding areas.
Run CAT 5E cabling and terminate cabling at the patch panel and install wall jacks, repair phone/data jacks, trouble shoot and inspect CAT 5E cabling. Trouble shoot telephone issues. Replace ballasts and fluorescent tubes in branch's interior and exterior lighting. Do minor electrical maintenance and repair (i.e.. outlets, switches, etc.) Assemble and disassemble furniture and furniture repair. Repair and maintain HVAC (trouble shooting, changing filters, thermostats, etc.) and plumbing (toilets, sinks, etc.) Paint and do minor wall repair in offices. Identify and communicate problems at branches to the Operations team before they become a major repair problem. Important Notes
A High school diploma or GED.
Basic handyman operation skills with at least 2 years previous experience in a similar position. Good understanding of machine operations and the interaction of electrical/electronic and mechanical operations. Must have a current and valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions (work orders) and read schematics in English. Ability to communicate timely and accurately to co-workers and supervisors. Basic math and analytical skills for handling inventory process. Able to perform moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects (up to 75 pounds) and standing and/or walking more of than 4 hours per day) Able to climb ladders. Microsoft Office skills a plus.
