Job: Web Developer/Public Affairs Specialist

UHD enrolls over 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students and offers daytime, evening, and weekend courses through both classroom and various technology-enabled mediums. The University of Houston-Downtown is seeking an excellent candidate for the position of Web Developer/Public Affairs Specialist.

Basic Duties:

Develops, designs, and supports Public Affairs and other UHD websites using tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office products and other web tools.

Develops web publications, such as internal newsletters, using various writing, editing and research tools.

Develops and designs Web graphics.

Creates and maintains UHD's presence on social networking sites and designs and implements web survey instruments as needed.

Informs IT of needs and proceeds by testing the development.

Works as part of a team to help design new looks and content approaches to UHD's website.

Keeps UHD's website up-to-date.

All other duties as assigned.

This is a security sensitive position; a complete background investigation is required.

Basic Requirements:

Must have a Baccalaureate Degree.

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience.
