Job: Part Time Medical Assistant

Texas Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, P.A. is the premier otolaryngology group on the Texas Gulf Coast with 25 physicians and fourteen offices located throughout the Houston area. We are currently looking for Medical Assistants to provide supportive patient care functions to the physician in order to achieve patient care goals and objectives. Responsibilities encompass direct clinical care, patient education and computer-based surgical schedule maintenance.

As an essential member of the clinical team, responsiblities include:
• Room patients
• Prepare instruments for physician
• Set up exam rooms
• Assist physician in patient exams and procedures, including vital signs, tympanograms, injections, and sterile technique
• Clean and sterilize instruments
• Stock exam rooms
• Return phone messages with pertinent information
• Schedule routine lab and radiology procedures
• Make phone calls for obtaining patient records from lab or another physician’s office.

Qualifications: 1 year demonstrated medical office experience. Surgical specialty experience and knowledge of E.N.T. practices is preferred.
