Jobing Description
Perform duties necessary to coordinate and process the company’s payroll(s). Review and analyze payroll and general ledger data. Reconcile payroll accounts. Audit salary payments and deductions for compliance with rules and regulations. Maintain company payroll records. Resolve salary payments, deductions, and records discrepancies. Insure confidentiality of payroll data.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Process company payroll to insure accurate and timely issuance of paychecks and timely payment of payroll deductions (i.e. benefits, tax issues, etc.) using Great Plains Dynamics and ADP.

Perform quality checks to validate accountability of payroll costs to insure timely file maintenance, properly authorized file maintenance changes, and correct taxability of various adjustments.

Complete payroll accounting close, which includes preparing worksheets on payroll liability, reconciling general ledger accounts, and preparing payroll journal entries.

Coordinate tax filings and insure accurate and timely tax deposits; quarterly tax reports; payment of quarterly tax reports and payment of liabilities. Reconcile tax filings to detailed payroll records.

Complete year-end closing of payroll.

Respond to inquiries relating to employee deductions, calculation of pay data, etc.

Work closely with Human Resources to accomplish business goals.

Provide extraordinary customer service to internal and external customers including telephone support and assistance.

Performs special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

MUST have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience including General Ledger. Certified Payroll Professional preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent data entry skills

Detail oriented and accurate

Outstanding customer service skills

Computer skills – Great Plains Dynamics, Excel, Word, Internet and Data Base software.

Previous payroll experience with ADP

A self starter that is flexible and adaptable to change

Ability to be an excellent team player.
