Job: WELDERS-NEEDED ASAP-SEALY, TEXAS

Welders needed for day and night shifts
• Perform standard GMAW welding in a flat position as assigned by a group lead or supervisor
• Use a tape measure, square, level to establish proper assembly
• Set up, assemble and tack weld parts
• Change wire reels, feeders, guns, tips, cups and sleeves of welding station
• Job may be planned and laid out for incumbent
• Work from work instructions and procedures
• Learn to identify product defects and completing appropriate documentation, relay any defects found to group lead / supervisors
• Be a proactive team member, help others, work well with others; and participate positively in team/individual discussions. Must maintain a good working relationship with peers and customers and work to resolve problems
• Must be receptive to receiving training from more skilled welders
Complete other duties in same job scope as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Requires 6+ months of welding experience and knowledge of basic weld safety, simple math, simple blue print dimensions and tolerances, and tape measure reading. Must be able to demonstrate the setup and running of GMAW welding equipment. Courses in basic blueprint reading, shop mathematics, and mechanical drawings are preferred. NOTE: 6+ months of required experience may be substituted for an established Technical Welding training courseware.

Welder I - minimum requirements
AWS D1.3, 3F Down Tee, 10 Gage which covers 16 Gage through 3/16” material (sheet metal) in the down hill position. Must be able to perform setup and basic welding torch maintenance on MIG welding equipment.

Incumbent will be required to work towards the successful completion/pass of the AWS D1.1, 3G Up on 3/8” material (plate metal), which covers material from 1/8” through 3/4” in the flat, horizontal, vertical up, groove, fillets, and plug weld positions.
