Job: Sales Associate / Teller Galveston-Seawall Area

Sales Responsibilities as follows:

1. Responsible for the expansion and retention of existing customer base of business, through comprehensive knowledge of IBC product benefits and values, as well as the development of new business.

2. Participate in the customer/officer call program to ensure client satisfaction with operational services.

3. Support sales staff by encouraging their interest and participation in cross-selling bank products, services, and other Bank sales promotions.

4. Participate in coaching and mentoring for employees to help attain Branch sales goals.

5. Create sales strategies and promotional activities, which includes presentations on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis to increase awareness and generate new business.

6. Work with Branch Manager to maintain smooth workflow by assisting with the training of newly hired sales associates.

7. Participate in branch sales meetings with staff.

8. Maintain professional Bank image.

Service Responsibilities as follows:

1. Support all Branch operations and sales activities.

2. Follow and implement bank policies, procedures, and practices.

3. Ensure that quality customer service is provided at all times. This includes opening accounts, providing customers with information and resolving banking problems for customers.

4. Audit accounts, records of proof, and certifications to ensure compliance with established standard Bank procedures and practices.

5. Compiles required and special reports on sales functions of branch.

6. Participates in employee training to improve efficiency and ensure conformance with standard procedures and practices.

7. Participates in staff meetings of operations personnel, or confers with Branch manager to discuss operational problems or procedural changes or practices.

8. Perform other related duties as directed by the management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma, some college preferred.

Candidate should have a minimum of one year of related sales management and financial industry experience.

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS REQUIRED:

Excellent written and oral communication skills; organizational, customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

A banking or non-banking sales background is strongly recommended. Ability to work flexible hours. Bilingual is appropriate by branch.
