Job: Accounting Specialist / Panoptic Insurance / The Woodlands

This position reviews, analyzes, and interprets accounting information to assist in the processing of insurance commissions, products and services. You will perform accounting tasks necessary to reconcile premium and calculate commissions. This is a new business initiative operating on a national scale.

· Balance and reconcile current accounts to determine commissions
· Perform quality audits on agency transactions for multi-state business lines
· Generate accounting reports
· Coordinate accounting administrative tasks and act as liason to accounting department
· Provide customer service for nationwide agencies in regard to commissions and accounting related issues
* Special projects as assisgned

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with internal and external clients; strong interpersonal communication skills
· Proficient in Excel and accounting related systems; insurance agency software a plus
· Demonstrated ability to work with external customers in regard to accounting related issues
· Experience that demonstrates high degrees of self-direction, initiative and motivation; able to problem solve over the phone with all types of clients
· Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail and focus on quality.
· Flexible and able to manage change; able to work at all levels within an organization


Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 3 plus years work experience including a proven track record in reconciliation or equivalenet work experience within the insurance industry. Insurance background a plus.
