Jobing Description
The Service Associate provides excellent customer service to individuals needing financial services. Work involves, but is not limited to: Check cashing, balancing monies, reporting daily transactions, following security procedures, and performing other financial services duties.

This job reports to a District Manager.
Multiple positions are available in areas: Astrodome, Baytown, Conroe, Cypress Station, East End, Hobby, Humble, Huntsville, Pasadena, Spring Branch, Southwest, Westheimer, Northshore, and Northline.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cash checks using established risk analysis and risk management materials. (Risk analysis is defined in current training manuals and/or policies and procedures materials.)
• Follows appropriate cash handling and inventory procedures.
• Learns to review, interprets and acts upon reports including but not limited to: Combined Income Statements within five months of employment.
• Provides and markets company services, including but not limited to: check cashing, loans, utility and other bill payment transactions, money order sales, wire transfer services, postage stamp sales, and distribution of other financial services.
• Provides professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Maintains, counts, receives, balances and safeguards cash and other negotiable items according to established policies and procedures to ensure validation of center assets.
• Performs opening and closing procedures, including but not limited to: prepares bank deposits or re-deposits, investigates and resolves report discrepancies, and verifies money in the cash drawer and safe.
• Follows security and safety policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment; protects company assets and employees.
• Maintains schedule flexibility to work other centers and shifts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mathematical Skills:
Knowledge of basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all unit measures using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions and decimals. Ability to exchange US currency in any denomination.

Personal:
Effectively communicate with customers and peers.

Physical Demands:
The Service Associate is required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, reach with arms and hands, and to have appropriate vision to see up close, and at a distance with ability to adjust vision and focus.
• The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work 10-12 hours in a confined work area without leaving the center.
• Formal lunch breaks are not provided and must be taken at most convenient time around the flow of customers.
• Ability to travel to different locations as schedule demands.

May be required to work in various locations within district. Must be willing to travel.


Skills / Requirements
Qualification and Requirements:
Some retail/customer service experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) to communicate with other is a plus.

Candidates must pass drug screen and background check. Due to the nature of the employer's business, company policy requires that candidates with a criminal background or convictions will not be considered for employment.
