A rapidly expanding consulting firm in the oil & gas industry is seeking an Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years industry based or educational based experience gained in the delivery of Electrical Engineering. Comprehensive knowledge of HV, IEC and OSHA related standards are a plus. Experience in project management and customer relations is required. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and other challenges. Must have the ability and feel comfortable speaking in front of small groups of people within the industry and must be a team player, driven by business and team success.
Purpose: Perform work involving the application of all conventional aspects of electrical engineering to the functional area of an assignment, and teach to international standards for electrical and instrumentation equipment in hazardous area offshore and on shore locations. Areas of Responsibility: Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate electrical engineering or electrical hazardous area inspections. Prepare reports, plans and specifications for major projects. Prepare and review proposals, contract documents, and estimates. Participate in contract bidding and administration. Supervise and observe the work and ongoing progress of an inspection project. Maintain overall group schedule of project deliverable milestones, billing objectives, and activity codes. Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff. Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate to project. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for learners, staff, and clients. Skills / Requirements
Primary Skills: Electrical Engineering for the oil & gas industry and knowledge of Hazardous Area Equipment.
Experience Required: Professional Registration required, 5 years minimum |
