Job Title: Teller
Department: Teller Reports To: Teller Manager Salary Range: Minimum $20,966 FLSA: Non- Exempt Role: To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. Actively sell credit union products and services to ensure predetermined organizational goals are met. Adheres to company policies and procedures and standard practices. Adheres to Federal and State Laws and Regulations. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders, cashier checks, and travelers checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Assists teller supervisor/Team Leader with daily cash operations as assigned. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service. Adheres to internal controls, security and safety procedures. Cross-sells credit union services. Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone. Performs other duties as assigned. Expectations: 1. To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members. 2. To balance in compliance with Teller Balancing Standards. 3. To handle at least 150 transactions per day. 4. To have no more than one posting error per month. 5. Requires some analysis or research to determine the best solution for a limited number of transactions. 6. To gather information from various sources, comparing and weighing information to make logical decisions. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience. Education: Equivalent to a high school education. Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Other Skills : Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with cash, numbers and names. Community Resource Credit Union Preview
