Jobing Description
Responsible for research, writing, securing, monitoring and evaluating
grants for the City. Responsible for administration of some of the City’s grants from development through closing including development of submissions, and monitoring status. Responsible for administration support of City Manager. Works with planning and zoning issues in addition to Capital Improvement Planning and downtown improvement. Works under direct supervision of City Manager.

Skills / Requirements
• High School Graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• Have completed a minimum of one of the following combinations of education and experience:
• Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Accounting, Business
Management, Urban Planning or closely related field and three (3) years related
experience in municipal planning, private consulting, public administration, grant writing
or any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience
required
• Master’s Degree in Urban Planning or a related field in addition to two (2) years related
experience in municipal planning, private consulting, public administration, grant writing
or any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience
required
• AICP Certification preferred (American Institute of Certified Planners)
• Working knowledge of principles and practices of modern public administration
• Experience in writing grant proposals for a municipality
