JOB SUMMARY AND PRINCIPAL DUTIES (5223L-55E) Responsible for the overall programming and maintenance of the aquatic programs and facilities, including the marketing and sales of the aquatic programs and supervision of all aquatic personnel at Pirate’s Bay and other aquatic facilities. This requires primary oversight of the programming standards, systems and practices as they directly impact the overall guest experience. This position is also responsible for the operating excellence of the section to ensure that the financial performance of the Aquatics section meets budget to ensure the success of the facilities.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work more than 40 hours a week. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, Recreation or Health Promotion from an accredited college or university.
2. Two years experience in running an Aquatic facility.
3. A valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED:
1. Ellis and Associates National Pool & Water Park Lifeguard license.
2. Bilingual/Spanish.
3. Certified Pool Operations certification.
