Nurse Supervisor for Surgical Doctor’s Office
Direct Hire Placement $25.00 to $27.00/hour 4 Day work week – 40 hours Clear Lake City Area The Nurse Supervisor will promote and restore patients' health by developing day-to-day management, long-term planning of the patient care area and completing the nursing process; direct and develop staff; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; and provide physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: • Accomplish nursing human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; and adhering to policies and procedures. • Assure quality of care by developing and interpreting company philosophies and standards of care and enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. • Protect patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. • Ensure operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment and techniques. • Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; and answering questions. • Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records and hold all information in strict confidentiality to be in compliance with HIPPA regulations. A winning candidate will possess • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing • Must possess a current and clear State of Texas Registered Nurse license • Must possess current CPR and BLS certification • 10+ years of bedside patient care – highly prefer and desire surgical or operating room experience • Must be compassionate and a patient advocate • Must possess computer skills for data entry, report writing and email correspondences – highly desire Microsoft software application experience KSF1429 Important Notes
Work week is 4 day. off on Wednesdays and weekends.
