Job: Engineering Technician II

To provide intermediate level specialized skills in the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of scientific, electronic, computer, or mechanical equipment.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
� Develops and tests machinery, and computer or electronic equipment.
� Draws detail drawings or sketches for fabrication.
� Devises or assembles new or modified mechanical or electronic components.
� Conducts tests to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
� Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment.
� Consults with medical or research personnel to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely.
� Repairs equipment and utilizes machinery, and electronic or computer instrumentation.
� Adheres to internal controls established for department.
� Performs related duties as required.
� Experience in CCTV, IP Cameras and Recording system, Electronic door hardware, Infographics and Lenel Onguard system.
� Experience with computers, 2-way radio system, RS422, RS485

Required Education / Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent and three years related experience.

Equipment:
Standard electrical, mechanical research, and/or machine-shop equipment.

Working Environment:
Standard electrical, mechanical research, machine-shop and/or office environment.
