Job: Oncology RN

Interested in working with one of the nation's premier oncology services providers? We are currently seeking an experienced RN for an outpatient cancer treatment center located in the Woodlands.

Job Duties May Include:
Mixes and administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications
Assists with exams and procedures.
Maintains all exam room disinfection protocols.
Assesses patients for changes in condition.
Completes all chemotherapy charge forms.
Assures pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies.
Demonstrates knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use and maintenance
Cleaning pumps after use, and proper documentation of pump usage.
Facilitates dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose
Performs venipuncture
Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material.
Provides nursing coverage for the satellite offices as needed.
Follows OSHA guidelines
Maintains patient confidentiality.

Qualified RN Candidates will possess:
-Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer.
-Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience
-Oncology Certification is preferred
-Valid Texas nursing license
-BSN preferred
