Job: Crewman / Line Repair

1. Install, repair, and maintain City water and sewer lines.

2. Assist the heavy equipment operator in digging water and sewer line main breaks.

3. Assist in daily operations of customer complaints and problems.

4. Assist in repair of sidewalk, driveways and street.

5. Maintain equipment. Clean hand tools and job site on daily operations.

6. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

7. Subject to being on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

8. Assist in keeping daily records of daily operations.

High School diploma or equivalent required. No previous experience required. Valid Texas State driver’s license required.

Skills in working with hands and working with other employees. Skills in equipment, ground, and building maintenance. Knowledge of safety regulations, small engines, and light machinery. Knowledge of maintaining vehicles, equipment, and hand tools. Ability to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently. Must be able to do heavy lifting, pulling, etc.
