Job: Assistant City Engineer

1. Administers and monitors CIP implementation and development.
2. Administers and monitors Engineering Department activities.
3. Administers and monitors development and coordination of CIP recommendations.
4. Administers and monitors CIP implementation of other Jurisdictional Entities
5. Administers and monitors long rand infrastructure planning,
6. Administers and monitors public relations related CIP implementation.
7. Monitors General Engineering Practices and advises Council and Staff of trends.

Licensed to Practice Engineering in the State Of Texas (OR ABILITY TO OBTAIN WITHIN 8 MONTHS) required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field required.

Knowledge of engineering and construction methods applicable to Public Works infrastructure. Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes, ordinances and regulations. Ability to prioritize facets of work among various departments with directorates. Skills in public speaking, oral and written communication, and providing effective guidance and direction. Ability to prioritize facets of work among various departments with directorates. Ability to deal effectively with associates, contractors, developers, elected officials, and the general public. Ability to organize, plan, staff, budget, research, and implement all aspects of Engineering Administration.
